The Time Has Come!

Tomorrow I go in and make the appointment for Gage to have his Barri um Swallow done! Then January 27th we will be headed to Tucson for the scope to be done! They will be putting a scope down his throat and looking around! Does anybody know what this procedure involves! I know it has a specific name that I can never remember! I'm very worried about this whole situation although I try not to show it! Please keep us in your prayers every one helps!

Best of luck. Its harder for a parent to watch than it is for the baby to go through. Halle had it done when she was little, good luck!

Hope Gage does will with the procedure. Is it to check for GERD? They will have him swallow a liquid with barium in it which shows up on an xrays and they'll be able to visualize anything unusual. I'm sure they have the procedure down pat and it'll go smoothly for him.

I think that before they put the scope down they will spray something that will numb his throat so he won't gag. That's what they did to my husband when he had it done (several times). Its not painful and he didn't gag. I'm sure your baby will go through the procedure with flying colors. The doctor could tell by Kristal's babies' symptoms what their problem was and didn't do a scope with them.
